Algorithm:

1. Extract exponents and mantissas (add implicit 1)

2. Align: right-shift the mantissa of the smaller exponent

3. Add aligned mantissas

4. Normalize: if mantissa overflow, right-shift and increment exponent

5. Recompose the result
