When valid_in is accepted while idle, latch the four signed 8-bit inputs. Compute y=x0+2*x1+3*x2+4*x3 over eight cycles using a lookup table of coefficient sums per bit plane. busy marks the calculation; valid_out pulses with the signed 16-bit result. Inputs presented while busy are ignored. Synchronous reset aborts the calculation.
